Certificate Admissions

Admissions Information for Non-Rutgers Students
(Certificate in Spanish-English Translation/Interpreting)

Non-Matriculated student

The admissions procedure is fairly simple if you already hold a 4 year college degree. You would submit an undergraduate application, but indicate you are will be a non-degree student and show proof of degree.   If you do not, you must apply to the University through the regular admissions process.  

You will need to have your college transcripts and - or proof of employment as a translator/interpreter, a cover letter, and two essays (about 400-500 words, double spaced) both in English and Spanish indicating your background in the languages, why you want to take courses, and your future goals. The essays and all other material should be mailed or faxed to:
